Whether you call it Teen Patti, 3 Patti, Flush, or Flash, the rules of card comparison never change. If you are playing online cash games or friendly living room tables, having the ranking hierarchy crystal clear is essential.

2. Detailed Breakdown of Each Combination
1. Trail (Three of a Kind)
Three cards of identical rank. A-A-A is unbeatable. K-K-K beats Q-Q-Q, and so forth down to 2-2-2. Remember: in standard 3 Patti, a Trail beats a Pure Sequence every single time.
2. Pure Sequence (Pakki Sequence)
Three cards in consecutive sequence belonging to the same suit. In almost all Indian online gaming applications:
- A-K-Q of the same suit is #1.
- A-2-3 of the same suit is #2.
- K-Q-J of the same suit is #3.
- 4-3-2 of the same suit is the lowest.
3. Normal Sequence (Kachi Sequence)
Three consecutive cards where at least one card belongs to a different suit. The ranking order of sequences matches the pure sequence order (A-K-Q is highest, A-2-3 second, 4-3-2 lowest).
4. Color (Flush)
Three cards of the same suit that are NOT consecutive. If two players hold a Color hand, compare the highest card. If both hold an Ace, compare the second card, then the third.
5. Pair (Jodi)
Two cards of the same rank plus one kicker. A pair of Aces (A-A-K) is highest; a pair of Twos (2-2-3) is lowest. If both players hold the identical pair (e.g. 9-9), the player with the higher third card wins the pot.
6. High Card
When you hold neither a pair nor a sequence nor three cards of the same suit. The hand is judged strictly by the highest single card in hand.
3. How Showdown Ties Are Decided
What happens if two players reveal identical combinations? Here is how standard Indian card rules resolve ties:
- Suits have no rank: A-A-A of Hearts, Spades, and Clubs is equal to A-A-A of Diamonds, Spades, and Hearts. If ranks are 100% identical, the pot is divided equally between the tied players.
- Pair kickers decide: If Player 1 holds 10♠ 10♥ K♦ and Player 2 holds 10♣ 10♦ Q♠, Player 1 wins because the King kicker beats the Queen kicker.
- High card kickers: If both players hold an Ace-high hand (e.g., A-J-8 vs A-10-9), the player with the Jack kicker wins.
4. How Sideshow (Compromise) Works
If you are playing as a "Seen" player and want to challenge the previous seen player without going all the way to a full show, you can request a Sideshow (also called a Compromise):
- You must pay the current seen chaal amount.
- The player sitting immediately before you has the choice to accept or decline the sideshow request.
- If they accept, both players secretly compare cards.
- The player holding the lower hand must fold immediately. If hands are completely equal, the requesting player must fold.
